Balloon Decor Class

Introducing Diet FLOAT!    Diet FLOAT is a mini balloon decorating convention.  It will be held November 15 and 16, 2011 in sunny Miami, Florida.  The cost is small, but the schedule is packed full of exciting classes with super talented teachers.   There will be a competition and a real life beach party!  Yes!   And Carl (The Tie Dye Balloon Guy) is on hand as well.   It is not too late to register and take your balloon decor to the next level.  More information and registration information can be found by checking out FLOAT’s website.   Here is a rundown of some of the great classes at Diet FLOAT 

Air-Filled Centerpieces

Fun with Foil Letters and Numbers

Megaloons and the new Microfoil letters are great for spelling names, but there’s way more to them than just letters and numbers. Patty Sorell will open your eyes to to the possibilities of using these balloons as shapes, for towers, walls, arches and more. Add in some Points, Tapers, Crescents and Curves and there will be no end to the creative uses and you will see these balloons in a whole new light.

 

Lighting Balloons

More and more balloon artists are using mixed media in with their balloon decor to help them stand out. In this course, Steven Jones showcases how lighting effects can be added to your decor to really help your work stand out above the rest. By the time you’re done with this class, you’ll find your balloon decor to be more “illuminating!”

 

Large Scale Link-O-Loon Sculptures

OK, so you have a client that wants a larger-than-life sculpture, but you don’t want to have to spend days building a massive framework, to say nothing of the cost involved in such a creation! That’s when Link-O-Loons can come to the rescue. During the course of this class, Steven will show the basic foundation of Link-O-Loon design as well as several examples of how you don’t have to be named Guido to build large scale pieces! Why build massive frameworks when you don’t have to?

 

Take Over Indoor Car Dealership Decor

Aren’t you tired of seeing oxidized latex topiaries in all the dealerships across the nation?  Well, come and learn how to make balloon “jewelry” in never seen before designs that will set your client apart from all the others.  Emphasis is in all foil shaped balloons that will last your client longer (and it allows you to charge your client more!) Foil techniques include: connecting foils so they stay up for 3-6 month, personalizing balloons without the use of a printing company, saving foil balloons if they have a rip or a tear anywhere and a host of cool marketing tips to get into the dealership.
